Hi, Will and Archie -

attached you'll find the copy of my "video"-file listing all the stuff I have WITH EP or which has
something to do with him, his topics etc. If you want more precise data, just let me know, and I'll
look into the cassettes/films themselves.
The only film on/with EP I have NOT had the chance to collect yet was the one by the
late German poet/author Horst Bienek who himself had experienced political captivity (in East
Germany) and was, although politically at the other end of the rule than EP strongly EP-influenced
as a poet... His EP film (I just looked it up was done in 1966).

The film entitled "EP - ein amerikanischer Hochverrdter" of 1986 isn't really with EP but with an
ACTOR playing him in St Liz mostly.

Just let me know if you want more data. The "Odyssey", Will, was even sychronized into German
and shown in most of our 3rd programs and once even in the 1st, which is/wasunusual and in
terms of EP unthinkable before.

Eva Hesse's film, published when the student revolt approached its peak here was a strange
enterprise in that it tried to explain EP from a definitely LEFTIST angle (as did Eva's little book
"Der Revolution ins Lesebuch", a strange anthology of excerpts from EP's prose and poetry,
against which Donald Davie two years later set his "Six Epistles to Eva Hesse" in the London
Magazine editions series).

PS: Archie, sorry for having forgotten about our topic of EP-related music. I'll mail you a list of my
Antheils etc.
BTW, I wonder what came of the offers to copy for some of us the recording(s) of EP and the
DRUM!

Best,

alex
