Dear Dirceu Villa

My conscience is bothered that neither I nor anyone else on the ep list
has answered your letter. Perhaps everyone else is as busy as I am. But,
briefly, for the shorter poems the two indispensable works are Peter
Brooker's A Student's Guide to the Selected Poems of EP and K. K.
Ruthven's thorough A Guide to EP's Personae. Both these are out of print
but not hard to find at the big used-book websites like ABE.

For the Cantos, of course, Terrell's two volume Companion, which also
functions as an index to foreign phrases and proper names.

These books will answer your questions.
