Dear members,
I have read Rockwell's article and I think Pound would have liked it and sent R. an email congratulating him on it. He would also have carefully pointed out that war profiteering is made not only by the industry, whether by production of armament or reconstruction, but also and most importantly by those who "give it with interest." The banks are the ones profiting by war, this is the aspect that no one seems to notice. Industries are just the branch, banks are the root.
Perhaps he would then advise R. to read Douglas and Gesell as the only authors showing solutions to the capitalist mechanism of creating one war after another (i.e. banks and industry who control the press drag the nation into war as a form of business; the investments are repaid through taxes; there is perhaps an additional juggling with the value of the dollar to fetch more interest, you know, devaluing it when the war starts and revaluing it afterwards when the war loans have to be repaid).
Maybe who knows, EP and R. would have started an economic correspondence! In any case EP would have invited R. to visit his website and read his most recent articles on the subject, as well as luminous passages from the Cantos.

Here a pause for Christmas contemplation and best wishes to you all
