Position Title:  Executive Director / Business Manager
Job Location:  TBD
Position Type:  Hands-on Administrator

Qualifications:  The Association of Computer Technology Educators of Maine
(ACTEM) seeks an experienced leader with proven organizational,
communication, financial, and interpersonal skills to manage the
day-to-day  business and professional operations of a robust statewide
educational non-profit corporation. Experience in Maine K-12 education,
the MLTI Initiative, managing a budget, working with vendors, and event
planning helpful. A detail-oriented individual is a must.

Position Description:  The Executive Director/Business Manager reports
directly to the ACTEM Executive Board, and is responsible for the
organization's consistent  achievement of its mission and financial
objectives. This full-time position will support approximately 900
individual members and 125 Institutional members to enhance and influence
education in Maine through the use of technology. The successful candidate
will assume responsibility for corporation finances,  including operation
of ACTEM's $1 million-a-year buying consortium. The Executive Director
will actively participate in the planning of the annual MAINEducation
Technology Conference and be responsible for all conference logistics. The
Executive Director will publicize the activities of the organization, its
programs and goals through updates to the ACTEM website, publication of
the quarterly newsletter, and production of promotional material. The
Executive Director will be expected to be actively involved in any
association membership expansion, grant initiatives, contests involving
awards, trainings and the like. The Executive Director will actively
pursue opportunities for the healthy growth of ACTEM.

Salary Range: Total compensation package will be negotiated with the
Executive Director and may be straight salary or salary and benefits
package.

Additional Information: The new Executive Director will be charged with
finding suitable office space for ACTEM headquarters. During the July -
Oct 2012 period the Executive Director will work with the current ACTEM
Business Manager prior to assuming full responsibility for the buying
consortium Oct. 1 and all association business on Nov. 1, 2012.
