(mike being prolific this late night...I know, I know, what's new...)
Question is, with Fedorchuk continuing the torrid pace he started out
with, will he get the consideration he appears to deserve for
All-America and even the Hobey? I championed former UAA G Paul Krake
for All-America a couple of years ago, but Krake suffered from being
stuck away in Alaska and playing for an Independent who some people
thought wasn't playing as tough a schedule as the conference teams.
But this year, despite being an Independent, UAF has played some good
teams and Fedorchuk seems to have earned consideration. I wonder how
the voters look at him...I don't think there are many other
outstanding forwards in the country that could be ranked above him.
This also brings up the question of who's up there for the Hobey...I
can't think of anyone from the East right now who I'd consider a Hobey
candidate. Kariya was the closest from HE, but not if he misses half
the season. Oliver might be the front-runner. (I know that's the
last thing JohnH wants to hear right now!)
