Last year's Mass-Lowell all-everything goalie and HOCKEY-L
contributor, Dwayne Roloson, is apparently turning heads at the Calgary Flames
training camp. Rollie was originally targetted for the AHL, but here's what
the guru on the Flames Email list said:
BETWEEN THE PIPES: Choices aren't getting easier. Enter free-agent signing
Dwayne Roloson into the picture. The way he played, he deserves a good look.
Rollie is going against Trevor Kidd, Andre Trefilov, and Jason Muzzatti. Kidd
and Muzzatti are former first round picks. The expectations had originally
been that Kidd would be the starter and the loser of Trefilov and Muzzatti
would join Rollie in the AHL.
Go Rollie!

P.S. BTW, there was no mention of fellow UMLer Mike Murray who is also in
the Flames camp.
