First, sorry about that previous message.
Anyway, I thought Id throw in my $0.02 worth in this RPI debate.
Primarily on the new coaching situation there.
I find it very difficult to believe that Dan Fridgen is being seriously
considered for the head coaching spot. Dont get me wrong I know Fridge
and think he is a great guy but only a few short years ago he was the
assistant coach in a DIII program at Union College. How do I know this,
he was coaching me! Anyway, I think he is a great guy and very knowledge-
able of the game, but, I just dont know if he's ready to be the main man
at RPI, thats an awfully big step.
In addition, I think his recruiting talents (after all he 'sort of' recruited
me at U.C.) would be better served in a program without the limitations
of the ECAC. Maybe it works both ways, RPI needs him because of these
limitations.
Anyway, Im not convinced RPI is making a step in the right direction
with Fridge at the helm.
