This virus alert is indeed a hoax, and an old one at that. See
http://www.stiller.com/guts.htm for the history of this hoax. (The web
site is part of Stiller Research, a virus protection company). See also
the Computer Virus Myths Home Page at http://kumite.com/myths/, which also
lists the hoax.
IBM does not issue virus warnings; it never has. AOL has issued no such
alert. The 'forward this to everybody' at the end of the message is a
classic hoax phrase - it looks like Wallstreet Universe is trying to drum
up some free publicity for itself.
