Can anyone direct me to the source of the aphorism
given below by Juan Ramon Jimenez. I give it in
Italian, because that is the language of my source
(<Il Mare>, Rapallo). Seems to be from a loose
sequence of thoughts on poetics/aesthetics. The date
would be prior to 1934.
"Poesia, istinto coltivato." (Poetry: cultivated
instinct.)
Thanks--
