Hi again to the list.

Is the Introduction to A Guide to EP and
EF's Classic Noh Theatre of Japan by
Akiko Miyake? There's a clue in one of
the footnotes . . . but would like to
know if it was a singular or joint
effort? Then I'd like to send my
congratulations for a wonderfully
stimulating chapter (haven't gotten to
the rest of the book yet!), and
recommendation to those who haven't read
it. Excuse me for inarticulate synopsis
late at night (there is a review in the
Spring & Fall 96 Paideuma) but this'll
be short enough that maybe others can
improve on it if it occurs to them: The
introduction presented an approach to
understanding Pound's pantheon of
deities and their various appearances
(masks?) across geographical/cultural
boundaries and venues.

Can anyone help me on this? I've had
trouble finding the sources footnoted in
G. Singh's Ezra Pound as Critic when
they refer to Letters (ed. Paige). Is
there a difference in the pagination
between hard cover and paper back? Has
anyone come up with an approximate plus
or minus number to get to within range
of the quote?

Many thanks,
Margaret
