Union coach Delvethal has apologized to goaltender Mike Gallant for
the quotes about him that appreared in last Sunday's Schenectady
Gazette. Delvethal was quoted after the Dartmouth game saying that
Gallant played an "awful" game, among other things. Gallant let in 2
soft goals before being replaced by Luigi Villa late in the first
period. Villa didn't fare much better, and Gallant was back in the
game by early in the third period. Delventhal said that the remarks
should not have been made, especially not in the paper. He has met
with both Gallant and Luigi Villa and all three say that everything is
okay now. Gallant will get the start against St. Lawrence tonight.
In other news, the flu has hit the Dutchmen this week, and they may be
without Chris Albert and Ryan Alaspa tonight at SLU.
