Some final notes on the Miami-MSU ice scraping incident:
1. According to Steve Cady, Miami's first college hockey coach, a
former Ron Mason player, and now assistant AD at Miami, the Redskins will no
longer scrape the ice after road victories. They will find a more appropriate
way to celebrate.
2. The Miami players insist their intent was never to taunt.
3. Mason accepted the fact that his team was equally, if not more so,
responsible for the melee.
4. Cady insists that the Miami program be run with class. That's
because, he says, it's what he learned from Ron Mason.
Thanks for all of your participation in this discussion. It was
informative and very useful to me.
