Dartmouth ended its 10 game winless streak in a big way tonight by beating RPI
7-3. It was a combination of Dartmouth returning to their early season form and
RPI seeming to play a listless game. Dartmouth was 4 for 6 on the powerplay,
which certainly helped their effort. This game actually lasted 60:09 before it
ended! The clock wound down to 00:00 in the third period, but instead of the
buzzer going off, the clock then switched to 19:59...19:58... etc. Before the
referees realized it, another nine seconds had elapsed. It is the only game
I've ever seen that lasted more than 60 minutes and had greater than a one goal
difference. Jeff Beyer will have the complete story. Here are the statistics.
