I don't know about this argument. I have watched finalists from the last
2 years (Plante and Marinucci), and I would have to say that Nooch was
more the person you would think of as "NHL sized", while Plante was a
little small. Well, actually a lot small, if I remember correctly he was
the smallest guy on the team. But, assuming there is a season, one will
be scoring goals in the NHL, and one won't.
I also liked the thought of the votes getting split. (It was
brought up by someone else, I don't remember who, sorry) When Kariya
won, (I know, I'm treading on thin ice here, but it's only my opinion, so
no death threats or anything from Maine fans please ;^)) the western
vote got split between Plante and Johnson, and Kariya took the eastern
vote. Also, I was very surprised to hear that Nooch had won. I don't
think he was as good as Plante, well, I take that back, they were both
good, but they had different styles, and I guess Plante's was just more
pleasing to me.
