A dis-heartening game for the Falcons, not just because they lost, but
because the team did not work hard at all, the major problem with last
year's last-place squad. Will Clarke was solid again in net in defeat
for BGSU. But the defense made so many mistakes and the offense missed
so many scoring chances, that it didn't matter.

Kent's Scott Shaw was very good in goal. His teamates won virtually all
of the battles for loose pucks. Kent out-hustled BG, plain and simple.

In other CCHA action (from the local paper):

Clayton Beddoes scored with 29 seconds to go to give LSSU a 6-5 win
over Notre Dame. The Irish were ahead 5-3 in the third. Who said UND
didn't have a prayer of getting a point vs. LSSU? Too bad Ric's team
couldn't pull off the upset on Friday.

Brian Savage scored with 3 minutes left to finish off a Miami rally and
beat MSU 4-3 at Munn. MSU was ahead 3-1 after 2 periods. Now, I believe.

WMU's Craig Brown stopped 30 while UofM's Steve Shields saved half as
many in the 2-2 tie. No report on the blood level.

Not even close in Ferris, as the Bulldogs beat Div. II Mankato 7-1.

UAF-OSU reported earlier.
