Part of the tradition of the Mac Naughton Cup is that it *stays* attached
to Michigan Tech. In whatever league Michigan Tech plays in, the Cup is
awarded to the regular season champion.
 
When Tech left the WCHA the last time, they took the Cup with them...it's
kind of baffling to some people who see it for the first time and see
names like Bowling Green and other CCHA teams on the plaques!!!
(Each team who wins it gets their name and the year added to the base
of the trophy)
