This is just plain arguable. Are you saying if the head referee doesn't see it
clearly and the linesman/AR does, but hesitates for any reason whatsoever
including because he thought the head ref saw it...(and that happens
occasionally) that the play should then not be called? In a perfect world I
would understand your point. But until players always decide perfectly whether
to pass or shoot then human refs are allowed the same occasional hesitation.
It is much harder to raise your arm and to call NOTHING when you realize you
are/might be very wrong, then to mull it over or ask opinion and then sell it.
Trust me....I know.
