Subject: Hockey-L "Real People"
 
        Please forgive the marginal college hockey content, but, hey, it's
the off-season.  Today while reading a Gannett News Service article on
the success of the Saturn (auto), I stumbled across the following quote
at the article's end:
 
        "I fell in love with the car as soon as I got in and felt the seat
        support my back, could reach the pedals, felt safe even though it
        was smaller than my two previous cars, everything," said Heather
        Machnik of New Hampshire.  "As long as this one stands by me, I'll
        stand by Saturn, and be their customer forever."
 
I'm sure Heather characterizes Mike with similar eloquence!  Ironically,
the quote above followed a description of a 700-member Saturn Internet
discussion list.  As I recall, hockey-L was about 700 strong when Mike
and Heather first "met."
