There is a big difference between the Tory and Tardif situations.
Tory wasn't eligible to begin with, therefore the NCAA will count
Maine's three forfeits against Providence as losses.

But Tardif was reinstated because he became ineligible through
administrative error and has since regained his academic eligibility.

But what separates Tardif from Cal Ingraham? Ingraham had to sit
out the 14 games earlier this year to make up for the 14 games he
played in while ineligible two years ago. The NCAA ruled that Ingraham
should have known better than to believe he got credits for a class
he failed.
