From page 20 of the 3/2/94 issue of the NC$$ News under the section,
"Eligibility appeals" (SA stands fo student athlete)

Sport:
    Men's Ice Hockey
Citation:
    B 14,5.4
Facts:
During fall 1991 semester, transfer SA competed in 14 contests
while ineligible under satisfactory-progress requirements. SA
failed one class during his first semester of enrollment at the
institution, which erroneously applied credits earned at a
previous institution towards satisfactory progress. SA was not
    misadvised by institution about satisfactory-progress
requirements. SA signed NCAA Student-Athlete Statement in 1990
and 1991. Institution appealed staff decision to Eligibility
Committee for Division I, which upheld the decision.
NC$$ Eligibility Action:
Eligibility restored after SA is withheld from first 14 contests
of 1993-94 season. Institution appealed staff decision to
Eligibility Committee for Division I, which upheld staff decision.
NC$$ action regarding institutional responsibility:
Secondary violation. Under B 32.4.2, institution was requested to
forfeit the 13 contests it won while SA participated while
ineligible. Institution did forfeit the contests.
Institutional/conference action:
