ESPN did not cover the Regionals last year. The Regional coverage for 1998
was provided by the NCAA and was made available to local stations. It was
also made available on a pay per view basis on Directv. However there were
blackouts of pay per view coverage in many areas.

The coverage this year was far superior than last year for dish owners. All
of the Eastern Regional games and some of the Western Regional games were
carried by Foxsports New England. MSC carried most of the Western Regional
games. In addition to the coverage by Foxsportsnet, local cable stations were
able to pick up selected games for a fee. There were no blackouts of this
year's regional games.
