Portland actually outdraws Seattle by a factor of 3-to-1 for their
respective WHL affiliates, has a longer hockey tradition, etc.  Remember
that it's not the base population that matters, it's the hockey-interested
population.
 
For that matter, Portland's a much nicer town with a more pleasant
atmosphere for visitors (my check from the OR COC is in the mail, but it's
true. ;-)
 
None of which matters, since there will never be a PNW F4.  Personally, I
would like to see the next Far West Frozen Four in Anchorage.  What the hell
