Today's Gazette contained a short bit

it notes that Lucia has not yet signed the offered long term contract
         that Dienhart and Woog are meeting today
         that Lucia is reportedly the first choice if Woog steps down
         that CC AD Marty Scarano expects to be asked by Dienhart for
              permission to talk to Lucia
         that Lucia has said he would have a decision on the long term
              contract by the end of the week
 
there was also a short piece on the local "wake up" show on NBC where
Scarano was interviewed.  Scarano said that CC is delighted with Lucia,
but that if asked, he'll give permission to other schools to talk to
Lucia because Lucia should have an opportunity to talk to other schools.
