How do they plan to hold the regionals once the tournament expands to 16
teams? Will they play all six games at one site? Will it be 2 games a day
for three days? Or are there contingency plans to create a second regional
site so that both sites have only 3 games? Or is this what the off-week
between the regionals and the semifinals/final is for?
 
Given the commentary by several coaches/tournament committee members during
the broadcasts this weekend, it appears that they want to twist arms and get
the 16-team tournament done ASAP.
 
Personally, I believe that 12 is too many. Cut it to eight, and hold a
Saturday doubleheader so that all of the fans can get to the games. Even the
West might sell a lot of tickets in this format (drive to the game Saturday,
watch Saturday night, drive back Sunday).
