Shots according to the USAToday box:

LSSU 11-13--9 = 33
UVM 5--6--9 = 20

The shot differential was a bit deceiving in this case. Quality
chances seemed a lot closer. Vermont had a lot of great chances that
were shot wide in the first two periods. Adam Wodon pointed this out.
However, it was still the case that LSSU carried the play in the first
two periods.

IMO, the crew of Frank Cole, Drew Taylor, and Bill Jones is the best
in college hockey. I thought they called a pretty decent game
Saturday night. I was surprised to hear afterward that the LSSU side
had a problem with the officiating. I've seen poorly officiated
games, and this was not one of them. Did Bill and Scott think that
officiating decided the game, and in what way?

And for the record (I seem to be saying that a lot lately), as the
people near me will no doubt attest, I was neutral throughout the game
and didn't particularly mind who won. In fact, in a sea of people
cheering for Vermont, it didn't seem too healthy to be a neutral
person who kept pointing out things from the Laker point of view. :-)
However, I never got a sense that the officiating was bad or hurt one
team or the other. Take that for what it is worth.
