I would like to speak for everyone who does not know Travis, his
family, or are, in any way, related to BU and their hockey program,
but are big fans of the game.
 
My prayers go out to Travis and his family. It's a terrible thing
that happened to him, the worst part being that it was just a freak
accident.
 
As a big fan of college hockey, I never want to see this happen to
any player, period. I remember being at an ECAC quarterfinal in
'93 (Clarkson vs. SLU), where SLU forward Mike Allain went down
with a serious knee injury that required EMT attention. The crowd
was silent and my first thought was that I hoped he would be able
to play the next night. This is absolutely nothing compared to
Travis.
 
Being one of the many, I'd like to pass my thoughts and prayers
along to Travis Roy, his family, and anyone else affected deeply
(I guess that would be all of us!).
 
It's incidents like this that remind us of how precious life can
be and how we don't even realize how lucky we all are.
