I do not know what academic honor he won, but Rene Fradet's accomplishments
greatly impressed me. He played four years of varsity hockey and still
managed to graduated with a GPA of 3.8 in Mechanical Engineering. I do
not know many people that could keep those grades without the time demands
of a varsity sport. That he was able to do it and still play is quite a
statement.
