From today's Burlington (VT) Free Press:

"St. Louis Leads Nation

University of Vermont sophomore wing Martin St. Louis has taken
the scoring lead among NCAA Division 1 players with 65 points
(22-43) in 30 games.

St. Louis, who already led the nation in total assists, assists
per game and points per game, moved ahead of Brian Holzinger of
Bowling Green (31-32-63, 32 games) and Greg Bullock of UMass-
Lowell (24-39-63, 36 games). St. Louis' linemate, sophomore
center Eric Perrin, is fourth at 24-36-60 in 30 games. St. Louis
also leads ECAC Division 1 in scoring with 43 points, two ahead
of Perrin, and can become the only UVM player to lead the league
in scoring other than Craig Homola. Homola had 69 points in
his player-of-the-year season in 1979-80. Since 1983-84, only
points in league games have been counted toward the individual
scoring title."
