I am curious about the name. Isn't "ictus" part of the rhythmic beat of Latin poetry? How does that connect to poets specifically located in Kosovo and Serbia? I know the Romanians have a modern language closest to Latin, but is this true of Albanians and Serbs?

Ictus is a listserv set up for the immediate purpose of communicating with
poets in Kosovo and Serbia. I have been a member of various
poetry/poetics listservs through the bombing of Iraq and now Serbia.
I would like to see if it is possible to establish longer dialogues
than those which have erupted in immediate reaction to attack. Poets
everywhere are welcome to join. This is an unmoderated list.
