Arthur Mintz has recently explained the story behind Cornell's "Give My
Regards to Davy." There is a semi-similar story behind "Varsity," which,
as David Parter recently explained, is Wisconsin's alma mater hymn.
 
Right near the end of the hymn, the students (and others) all wave goodbye
to departing UW President Glenn Frank. I should say FORMER UW President
Glenn Frank--he left the University over 50 years ago, but the students are
still waving!
 
BTW: Greetings from Saudi Arabia. They don't even know what ICE is here,
let alone hockey!
