I write:

        After seeing the replay again before the other semi, I realize
I got this not quite right.  CC's McNeill shot the puck off the
crossbar, then slapped it down with his glove; it went behind Thomas
across the goal mouth (perhaps off the post, but I don't think so)
then Remackel shot it off of Thomas's leg in to the net.  So it still
smells like a hand pass to me.
 
        What's odd is that the officials seemed to be conferring after
St. Louis's complaint.  Maybe they were just confirming that no one
saw the hand pass.
