I remember a game last year at Ferris St. when they played BG and there
was a horrible call IMHO of a collision with a goalie.  BG was down one
goal I believe and had the puck in their own end.  Somehow the puck was
knocked out of their zone into the Ferris zone and was just sitting
there.  Mike Hall and Brett Punchard(I think) both took off towards the
puck leaving everybody else behind, so it was a 2-0 BG rush.  The puck
was just inside the Ferris blue line and the Ferris goalie came charging
out of his net to try and knock the puck away before Punchard could get
to it. Well Punchard got there before the goalie did so the goalie dove
head first towards the puck so he could swipe it away with his stick.
Well, Punchard passed the puck off to Hall beside the wide open net just
before he collided with the goalie.  A charging penalty was called
against Punchard!!  I couldn't believe it!  There was the tying goal
taken away and both players were lying injured on the ice.  If I remember
correctly, both players had slight concussions.  I believe Ferris went on
to score 2 more times to win 5-2.
