Very interesting. That's exactly what I thought after reading both
pieces last night during production. The only thing I can think of is
that, as a coach, part of the job, along with damage control, is to
keep everything together by straying away from the panic button. My
assumption is that Filighera wanted to reassure that everything was OK,
overall she is fine and that things could've been worse. I don't know
if I want to call it completely downplaying the incident, rather as
more of a reasssurance that despite what happened, things will be OK.
Raffi told me that when she went and saw Filighera and told him that
she was still scared and probably wouldn't be going near the boards her
next game out, the coach basically told her that she has to get over
that, and in essence, put it behind her. Again, that's what Raffi said.
