The roster for the 1999 US National Junior Team's training camp was
announced and UMaine's Barrett Heisten and Doug Janik were among the 16
US college players invited to USA's camp. Others include BC's Brian
Gionta, Michigan State's Joe Blackburn, BU's Mike Pandolfo, and CC's
Justin Morrison. The first game (pre tournament competition) is Dec. 21
against Sweden in Ann Arbor. Team USA will play Finland in Winnipeg on
Dec. 26 to open the tournament. The last games will be played Jan. 5th.
26 players were invited to attend training camp, of which 22 will be
selected to the team.
