BRIAN WHITE RECALLED FROM HERSHEY
 
DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche announced this afternoon that defenseman Brian
White has been recalled from the club's American Hockey League affiliate in
Hershey.
 
This will mark the second tour of duty at the NHL level for the 22-year-old in
the last month. White was initially called up on November 21 and saw action at
Montreal and Edmonton before rejoining the Bears on November 28.
 
In 22 games with Hershey, White has notched two goals and two assists with 19
penalty minutes and a plus-four rating in his first full year as a
professional. Signed as a free agent by the Avalanche in July, 1998, White
played in one game last season with the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the
International Hockey League after concluding his four-year collegiate career
at the University of Maine.
