- I'm sorry, I've been drowsing through this thread, and just woke up into
a fascinating growing anthology of poets biffing each other. Anybody
mentioned "Bunting vs. Winters - The Match That Never Was"? You can trace
the history of it in Hound and Horn, from Winters' review of An
"Objectivists" Anthology through Bunting's response ("Y.  Winters' snarl
is, isn't it, as pitiful as that of a kicked cur") to Winters' reply,
offering an "encounter" with him - "with or without gloves, Queensbury
rules. My weight is 180". Good, civilised stuff, so informative of the
aesthetic of the times, no?
