About 1,400 total students attended the Maine games this weekend. About
770 showed up Friday night and about 620 showed up Saturday night.
Although Moncton and Union may not be the most appealing opponents to
students, as one university official said last night, "Maine's No. 3 in
the nation, if they don't show up now .. when will they?"
 
I think the university is going to wait until after the UMass-Lowell
series to evaluate the number of student tickets available. If the
pickup is still hovering around 600, you can bet some of those 1,500
tickets allocated for the students might be taken away.
