Cornell and Vermont skated to a 1-1 overtime tie at Gutterson Field House.
The tie gives Cornell 3 points out of 4 on its opening weekend road trip.
Dominique Ducharme got the UVM goal with one second left in period one. The
Catamounts held on to the one-goal lead until Cornell freshman Vinnie Auger
tied the score with about 2 1/2 minutes left in regulation. In overtime,
Cornell lost goalie Andy Bandurski with about 3 1/2 minutes left with a
knee injury. Eddy Skazyk came in cold and kept the Catamounts off the board
to earn the tie.
