Bemidji State was able to earn a 2-2 tie with Union tonight at
Achilles Rink. They scored with 3.7 seconds left to send it to
overtime, where the Dutchmen dominated most of the play but came up
empty. The apparent OT game-winner was disallowed on a crease
violation. It was an improvement all around in quality of play from
Friday, particularly for Union's defense. Kyle Loney got the start
in goal for Union, and looked good as he saw fewer than 20 shots.
Union stands at 3-1-1 and opens its ECAC schedule next weekend with
visits to Cornell and Colgate.
