Clarkson's Mike Morrison was a walk-on in the mid- to late-80's who became
team captain by his senior year, mostly because of a tremendous work ethic.
Everything I've ever read about the guy said that he wasn't the most talented
player on the ice, but he was just a work-horse. Over his four years for the
Knights, he was 46- 68-114 in 121 games. Unfortunately he was killed in a
work-related accident shortly after graduation in 1989, while negotiating to
play in Europe.
