These are brief comments; I did not see the game, but
listened over WRPI.
Last weekend's injury to Cornell goalie Jason Elliott
may be the straw that breaks the Big Red's back. RPI
scored the first goal of the game but then gave up
the next 3 to Cornell (1 each in the first, second and
early in the third period). But RPI came back and
Cornell seemed to run out of steam (this observation(?)
from the radio announcers) as the Engineers scored 3 times
in the third to take a 4-3 victory out of Lynah. With
Union's win at Colgate, RPI's win over Cornell and
Clarkson's win over Brown, RPI goes into Colgate tomorrow
night in third place in the ECAC, 3 points ahead of Colgate
and 4 points ahead of Cornell and Brown.
RPI got 2 goals from Mat Garver and one each from Eric Healey and
Brad Tapper
