Jennifer's post is right on the mark about front-runner fans. When we go
to the ECAC's and the nationals the percentage of fat, middle-aged, hostile
drunks seems to go through the roof. It feels like the Boston Garden. I
don't have one particular contingent in mind here (okay, actually I do, but
it's irrelevant and I'll keep it to myself). But this is a small price to
pay for winning, I suppose. And for every alcoholic, no-neck moron and
chatterbox sorority queen (my own esteemed alma mater's contribution to the
Jennie-come-lately Crowd), there are 1000 genuine fans.
Tell the VanAndel Brute Squad we'll:
1. Be easily identifiable in Cornell paraphrenilia, and
2. Be carrying mace. :-)
