Excellent comments from those that posted but here is a quick overview.

MICHIGAN - MINNESOTA
====================
Michigan's (1st) worst period of the season. Minnesota dominated the
period as Michigan's power play did not exist except for Michigan's 2nd
power play where Muckalt scored. Checco was in the right spot at the
right time. Pileup by Turco allowed Moser to get a hold of the puck and
put it in. Turco saved the game from being a rout early on. Red must
have really gave it to the team as Michigan improved enough as much as to
make the 2nd period pretty darn even except for the unbelieveable goal of
Mike Legg and I strongly agree with everyone's thoughts on the goal so I
will move on to the 3rd period.  Michigan played its best hockey here;
however, the key fact of this period was that Michigan had ZERO PENALTIES
in the period and had the only power play of the period to aid them and
it did with Morrison hitting Luhning. Hannikson's goal was a fluke goal
as he fired a shot from near the blue line to the far right of Turco.
Morrison made a similar play to Luhning when we got the puck to Muckalt
who put a move on DeBus and put the puck in beside him. When Michigan
took a 3-2 lead, I thought that Michigan would have trouble keeping
Minnesota off the board and I also thought they would have trouble
keeping them from tying the game at 4. Great defense on some of college
hockey's players was another big factor and it paid off. Brendan
Morrison shut out Brian Bonin 3 assists to zero; and both tied with zero
goals in the battle of Hobey candidates. Key matchup in this game that
Michigan won. Great college hockey game and the officiating started out
rough but eventually quieted down and this seemed to benefit Michigan.
Congratulations to Michigan as they finally can get #8 and to Minnesota
on a great year! Minnesota will be back!! BU for Michigan should be a
major test with leadership, defense, and goaltending by Marty Turco, the
keys to victory, along with the emotion factor and their hungriness to
want to win.

COLORADO COLLEGE - LOWELL
=========================
Except for the two goals 1:01 into the third period, this was another
tightly contested game but CC won it 5-3. The Geronazzo line did it at
clutch moments for the Tigers. Fillion and the Lowell defense made this
game competitive and prevented a CC cakewalk. Good officiating
throughout as the officials were very inhesitant to call major
penalties. Lowell had their chances and looked good in a losing effort.
CC and Vermont should be a classic with a great offense against a great
defense. Lowell has nothing to hang their heads about.
