BAUER/CCHA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mike Knuble, a senior right wing from
the University of Michigan, has been selected the Bauer/CCHA Offensive Player
of the Week for his performance the weekend of March 10-11, 1995. He played
junior hockey for the Kalamazoo Junior K-Wings of the NAJHL and was drafted by
the Detroit Red Wings in the fourth round of the 1991 National Hockey League
entry draft.
Knuble, a 6-2, 224-pound native of Caledonia, Michigan, had seven points on six
goals and one assist and two game-winning goals, while scoring a hat trick each
night. In Friday's 7-2 victory, he recorded the Wolverines' third, fourth and
sixth goals, and in Saturday's 4-0 victory, he scored Michigan's first three
goals.
COOPER/CCHA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: John Grahame, a freshman goaltender
from Lake Superior State University, has been selected the Cooper/CCHA
Defensive Player of the Week for the weekend of March 10-11, 1995. He played
junior hockey for the Sioux City (Iowa) Musketeers of the USHL and was drafted
by the Boston Bruins in the 1994 National Hockey League entry draft.
Grahame, a 6-2, 185-pound native of Aurora, Colorado, recorded both Laker wins
in their sweep of the Broncos. He stopped 33 of 35 shots on the weekend for a
.943 save pct. and recorded his second shutout of the season on Saturday.
