According to an article on USCHO
<http://www.uscho.com/news/2001/05/04_002471.php> College Hockey
America has a applied to the NCAA rules committee to let them
experiment with the NHL's ill-conceived 4-on-4 overtime rule in league
games. The rules committee seems more concerned with the idea of the
NHL's crazy new point system, which seems a little funny since, during
Hockey East's shootout experiment, the NCAA just ignored the shoutout
result and assigned a W-L-T record, so the NCAA and HE in effect had
different point systems. I would think it would be less of a
disruption to let the CHA use the kooky point system, but still have
the games be played under NCAA rules.
