I saw a follow-up piece on the UNH/Maine game in 4/5 Boston Globe. Among
other things, they said that next year's tournament will be the first time
there's a 1 week break between the regionals & the Frozen Four. While it's
still far off, I don't recall reading or hearing about this before. The
piece claimed it was to give teams & fans a chance to make travel plans
between the sites. I don't know if I like this idea. Assuming the
regionals still end on Sunday, that's 11 days til the semis. Maybe good
for travel issues & nursing some nagging injuries, but not for a team's
momentum & sharpness - no matter how many practices are held in between.
Thoughts?
