UM beats MSU 3-1 in a very close very good game. Both teams played very good
hockey and this was a great game to watch as a fan (more so if you're a UM
fan).

MSU scored first shorthanded on an absolutely horrible play by Morrison and
Halko. Then Morrison answered back 21 seconds later on the same power play
with a 60 foot shot from the blue line. UM scored once in the second on a
power play and once again to seal the game up with a little more than 3
minutes to go in the game (Luhning).

I think Carter from MSU is going to make it as a very good player in the NHL
but coach Berenson put Morrison on Carter all game long. Morrison completely
took Carter out of the game even though Carter did score MSU's only goal on a
mistake by Morrison (and Morrison was all over Carter when he scored too,
good play by Carter).

GLI tournament "all-stars"
Defense Halko UM
              Wright MTU
Forward Carter MSU
              Madden UM
Center Morrison UM and MVP of the tournament (5 points, 3 goals)

Unofficial scoring:
first period: MSU Carter shorthanded 14:57
                  UM Morrison Power play 15:18

Second period: UM Legg (Schock and Sloan assists) power play 17:35

Third Period: Luhning (Morrison assist, he stole the puck) 16:21
