From the Minnesota Scene column in today's Star Tribune:
Gophers goalie Tom Newman, defensemen Travis Richards and Chris McAlpine and
center Craig Johnson have scattered to play on an assortment of select teams.
Richards, who signed with the North Stars, and Johnson are headed for Germany
to play with Team USA in the World Tournament. McAlpine is playing on another
U.S. Select team in Canada, and Newman is playing in the senior college
all-star game at Orono, Maine.

Is Tim Taylor coaching Team USA over in Germany?
I'm happy for the Gophers getting the chance to play for these special teams,
but sad that they will all probably miss the Annual Gopher Banquet which is
next Sunday.
