After seeing the comments about all time goalies, I went home and dug up the st
ats for Cornell's best.
Dryden Career (66-69) 76-4-1 (.944) 13 SO .939 SV% and GAA 1.59.
Amazingly, the year after he left, Cornell went 29-0-0 with Brian Crooper.
Of course Dryden played on some great teams, which had 3 or 4(depending on th
e season) First Team All Americans (and this was before there was an East and W
est teams). Another note, two of Drydens four losses were in the National Fina
l Game. Not a bad career;-)
Congradulations to Parris Duffis, Cornell's newest All-American Goaltender
and the first for CU from the US!
One last thought, the idea that the eastern school's suffered from the oly
mpic teams is certainly true in Ithaca. We lost two to team Canada, both of wh
om had eligibility left.
See you all tomorrow night,
William Sangrey
