Notre Dame was a member of the WCHA from 1971/72 through 1980/81. Michigan,
Michigan State, Michigan Tech, and Notre Dame left the WCHA and joined the
CCHA in 1981/82. Michigan Tech returned, bringing along Northern Michigan
from the CCHA in 1984/85.
